Romeo and Juliet is a play written by William Shakespeare between 1591 and 1595. The first quarto version of the play was published in 1597. The play is based on the love story between Romeo Montague and Juliet Capulet. Their families are enemies and opposing nobles. However, the two young people fall in love and have a tragic love story. Ultimately, they end up dying since they couldn’t be together in this lifetime, which leads to the two opposing and feuding families reconciling and letting go of their resentment towards one another. The play is known as one of the most popular plays by William Shakespeare.
